Fat Boys Barbecue in Clovis

Ordered BBQ sandwiches through DoorDash and there was NO BBQ sauce for the BBQ sandwiches.

Food tasted good just don't put very many tator tots. The server didn't check on our table very much either.

Food is good but not exceptional.

Brisket wasnt horrible. Food was dry. The waiter we had was really nice and friendly. That's the only good thing about this place.

Two years ago we were visiting family in Friona TX and went to Fat Boys for lunch. We have family in Friona so we go to Clovis when we are visiting a couple times a year. It was great. But this month, Nov 2018, we went back and all four of us had different lunch selections and all four of us were very disappointed. It was terrible! We didn’t complain but we will never go back again. I think it has a new owner because they were applying for a liquor license, no beer could be served. They had better change management or they will be out of business very soon. The next day we went to the Chili’s nearby and had a great lunch. So sad!!!

Was in town for a meeting and hit Fat Boys for lunch. Food was great as was the service. Definately worth the trip.

After eating here several times I have determined that the experience is based on what you order. I've been less than impressed with the Wednesday $1.50 pork sandwiches, but I am a huge fan of the green chili cheese covered waffle fries. It may take a few times to figure it out. A couple to start with: green chili cheese fries, fried pickles (with cayenne pepper), and the panini chicken sandwich. All are delicious.

Just straight up awful. All the meat is dry. Burgers are bland. Nachos are complete garbage because they use the salty ballpark fake cheese. The big boy burrito is literally a slice of American cheese slapped on some flavorless brisket. Served with a handful of week old lettuce. No dressing. I'd rather spend 10 dollars at a fast food place. At least they have some sort of flavor.

The food was good and the staff is friendly. Our waitress forgot about us once people showed up at the bar, so we were without drinks in the middle of our meal and finally had to ask another waitress for refills. Other than that everything was good. I'd go back.

Boxed Kraft mac n cheese. Baked beans looked more like refried beans. Not sure you call that red stuff bbq sauce 😒🤮 expensive too. Found one to avoid in our cross country travels.

Just had dinner and the food was good but I had to ask for the avocado that was supposed to come on the Santa Fe burger. But really I'm commenting because the waitress, when she brought our ticket at 8:33pm, made it a point to let us know that they were closing soon. I ask what time they close and she says, "we lock the doors at 8:45." Hmm k. I check Google and closing time says 9:00pm. So we hurrriedly finish our food and make it out the door promptly at 8:45 where we witnessed a small family and a couple turned away. I feel like if you advertise that you close at a certain time, that's when you close. Not 15 minutes before that time.

Food was meh, but my waitress was super cute and friendly. Always a plus lol

This is literally the worst bbq I’ve ever had. $17 for 3 thin pieces of brisket that was so rubbery I couldn’t even bite through it. Absolutely no flavor. Maybe other stuff is good, I don’t know? This was my first and last time.

Brilliant food, fast service.

The service was horrible here. The waitress was the worst part of the expierence. First she could not even take the order correctly. Having to repeat the order 5 times is just the entertaining part. We asked for the kids meals to come out first and ordered them at the start. 45 minutes later they still had not been delivered. Come to find out the waitress put it as a to go order and gave it to the wrong customer. Took another 20 minutes to get just the kids meals. After talking to a supervisor, he gave us a whopping 10% discount which came out to about $4. I rather them keep the $4 and instead fix their horrible service.

Very good, considering it's in craptastic Clovis.

Food is avg to below. Without BBQ sauce everything would taste bland and boxed.

I called my order in. The information wasn't sent during shift change so I was stuck waiting over 30 mins. For my order to be ready. They were short handed and the waitress did her best. What really disturbed me is that I was denied my original order because of the company's lack of preparedness, and instead of giving me what they had, I was told they'd rather try to make it spread to the end of the day to patrons that were dining in. This was a very disappointing experience.

Ribs were OK. Baby backs were dry. Potato salad was bland and more like mashed potatoes. Slaw was bland. Okra was good though.

If you have the brisket salad use the bbq sauce

Had the Pulled Pork sandwich with some Coleslaw and Okra, haven't had one like it in a long time.Great food, great atmosphere, I reccomend it.

1st time going. Food was good. Service was not that pleasant. Waited and waited. For everything. Dinner took about 2 hours to complete. Our meal was simple. A salad and chicken sandwich. Wasn't busy at all. Dirty tables everywhere and wait staff just leaning against the wall instead of cleaning. Probably wont go back for a while.

The place was clean,the wait was short the food was excellent and Jennifer the waitress was outstanding one of my pet peeves is when my drink is empty i hate to wait but with Jennifer as busy as she was i didn't have to ask for a refill she brought it. So that made it great. I recommend this place

The food and service was real good

When we went to eat here they were not only out of food they charge us a lot of money for food they didn't even have barbecue inter paying $75 fourth for chicken dinners and the service was horrible

I only gave it 5 stars so someone would see this, I ordered Fat Boys Barbecue for dinner, my ribs came so over cooked and dry that I literally couldn’t bite into them, I tried to call 4 times to resolve the order but no one answered, I was also missing an item on my order...very disappointing, don’t waste your time or money here.

Ok so I ordered the pulled pork salad which looked great but was lacking with the salad dressing. Then I mixed the spicy and mild bbq sauce on it, that made me happy. The service was good and the price was reasonable. Give them a try.

I order the 3 meat combo, and green chili cheese fries (those are great). 3 meat combo is enough food for two, especially with the appetizer. Great food, good price too.

From great BBQ, big burgers and awesome appetizers this place is some of the best eats it Clovis, New Mexico. I would recommend this place to everyone! If you're new to town or just passing through be sure to give this place a try. I bet you just like my experience... that you will not be disappointed! The staff there was all very friendly. Just went bought s slab of ribs it was spoiled took it back. Shame on them never again!

Not my best experience, have had way better. Need to hire people more experienced in smoking meat. Meat was dry. Very average.

Poor quality control. Brisket plate overly dry. Turning white in places. Sliced hours before serving. Potato salad on par with Albertsons. When reported, no remorse or offer to correct other than to serve me something else. First and last time in there. Dont waste your time or money.

Average food but terrible service. Waitress starts off with "not from around here huh". Downhill from there. Out of 2 of 4 taps too.

Great service and the food was good. Would have liked to see a little more on the plate but I would definitely Go back next time I'm in town.
